HPLC-TOF (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography-Time-of-Flight)

Location: Discovery 463A – Chemistry Instrumentation room

This Agilent 1290 High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with an inline Diode Array Detection (DAD) and 6230 Time of Flight (TOF) mass spectrometer system is used for the identification and quantitation of a wide range of non-volatile compounds. Samples are separated on the Liquid Chromatography (LC) column, passed through the DAD and into the TOF for further detection. 足彩app哪个是正规的 LC has a 120-position autosampler and a DAD with a signal range of 190-640 nm, a ±1 nm accuracy and a data rate of up to 160 Hz. 足彩app哪个是正规的 TOF has an Electrospray Ionization (ESI) ion source, a mass range of 25-20,000 m/z, Mass Spectrometry (MS) acquisition rate of 30 spectra/sec, a MS mass accuracy (positive) of <1 ppm root mean square (RMS) and a polarity switching duty cycle of < 1 sec.

GC/MS (Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry)

This Agilent 7890B Gas Chromatography (GC) and 5977A Mass Selective Detector (MSD) system is used for the identification and quantitation of volatile or semi-volatile organic molecules. Samples are introduced manually or with the help of the 150-positon automatic liquid sampler. 足彩app哪个是正规的 GC then separates analytes by column chromatography before they are transferred to the MSD where they are further filtered and detected. GC/MS instrument processing is commonly used in environmental sciences, food safety and petrochemical industries.
