In the past, I used \u201cContagion\u201d to teach about the realities of epidemics to connect with students who often found the concepts to be abstract. Meanwhile, others in the military would prefer to stop the whole epidemic with a bomb. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/outbreak-screenshot.png\" alt=\"&quot;Outbreak&quot; title screenshot\" class=\"wp-image-28115\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Wade is a Dustin Hoffman fan but said \u201cOutbreak\u201d is a poor illustration of the public health process. Conversely, the more carefully developed 2011 thriller, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1598778\/\">\u201cContagion,\u201d<\/a> better explains real-life issues in dealing with communicable diseases, Wade said. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/contagion-screenshot.png\" alt=\"&quot;Contagion&quot; title screenshot\" class=\"wp-image-28116\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In this film, Gwenyth Paltrow plays a woman who returns from a business trip overseas feeling ill and then contributes to spreading a mysterious virus. 足彩app哪个是正规的 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the World Health Organization struggle to save humanity from an illness spreading in geometric progression.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cContagion\u201d is an example of a movie that Wade asks his students to stream so they can discuss it in his public health courses in the School of Nursing &amp; Health Studies. 足彩app哪个是正规的y use the movie to talk about science, global politics and the social impacts of a devastating disease on a community. 足彩app哪个是正规的 movie also serves as a platform for strategizing solutions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/contagion-paltrow-screenshot.jpg\" alt=\"Gwyneth Paltrow in &quot;Contagion&quot;\" class=\"wp-image-28117\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Wade, who joined UW Bothell in 2010, started using a range of movies, TV clips and documentaries to help give his students an emotional connection to course concepts.
