足彩app哪个是正规的 University of Washington Bothell campus pulsed with energy as runners, walkers, rollers and strollers gathered for the 21st annual UW Bothell Husky 5K, a beloved tradition that continues to unite the university and the wider community.
This year’s event attracted record participation from students,?faculty, staff,?alumni?and members of the public. Additionally, more than 125 young runners took part in the?Kids?1K?race, making it one of the largest youth turnouts in the event’s history.?

Building bridges beyond campus
More than a race, the UW Bothell Husky 5K is increasingly becoming a connection point between the University and the surrounding community.
“We see this event as a bridge between campus and community,” said Riley Anne Ovall, alumni and stakeholder events manager. “Faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members all share this space. 足彩app哪个是正规的 Husky 5K invites people onto campus to experience it firsthand, celebrate together and build relationships.

Several new features added excitement to this year’s race. Participants were encouraged to form teams for the first time, with groups representing the University’s five schools, student organizations and community members. A newly created “hype squad” lined the course to cheer participants on, while mile-marker signs helped runners track their progress and stay motivated.
As usual, music, refreshments and family-friendly activities created a festival atmosphere from start to finish.
“This was my third Husky 5K,” said Angela Schaffer, whose daughter will become a fifth-generation UW Husky when classes begin in September. “I love the anticipation at the start of the race when people of all ages and backgrounds mill about and enjoy each other’s company, then stay afterward to have a snack and just be in community. It’s pretty special.”
One purple community
While many longtime participants returned for another year, the race also welcomed many first-time attendees, highlighting its growing reach.
“足彩app哪个是正规的 campus energy was unmatched,” said Joey Merkin, an avid runner and first-time Husky 5K participant. “Running the course with my dog was so much fun, and the support from everyone along the route made it an unforgettable race experience.”
Under sunny skies and an electric atmosphere, participants crossed the finish line with smiles, high-fives and a shared sense of accomplishment.
For one morning, the campus became the community’s purple heartbeat — bringing people together in support of students, scholarships and each other.
