Starting April 13, Microsoft Edge Legacy web browser will be updated to the new Chromium-based version of Edge. This update will happen as a part of UWB IT\u2019s monthly updates in April. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

How can I prepare for this update?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

If you currently use Microsoft Edge, you can transfer your favorites to the new version for an easy transition. Please note, your Favorites will not migrate automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How do I export my current Favorites from Edge Legacy?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Follow these steps to export your favorites:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click the Settings and more menu (three-dot elipses) button in the top-right corner<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Select the Favorites submenu and choose the Manage favorites option. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Click the Export favorites option. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Select a folder location.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Enter a descriptive name for your file.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  7. Click the Save button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Once you complete the steps, all your favorites will exported to an HTML file that you can save as a backup and import it to the new Edge Chromium<\/p>\n\n\n\n
