GWSS co-coordinator Dr. <a href=\"\/ias\/faculty-and-staff\/julie-shayne\">Julie Shayne<\/a> organized a session titled \u201cWho Asks? Who Writes? Who Trains? Parsing the Complexities of Showcasing Historically Silenced Narratives.\u201d Dr. <a href=\"\/ias\/faculty-and-staff\/ching-in-chen\">Ching-In Chen<\/a> and Dr. <a href=\"\/ias\/faculty-and-staff\/neil-simpkins\">Neil Simpkins<\/a> presented a paper titled \u201cOrganizing a Writing and Dreaming Space for Trans Writers,\u201d and Dr. Shayne\u2019s paper was titled \u201cYour Stories Exist, We Just Need to Find 足彩app哪个是正规的m: Teaching 足彩app哪个是正规的s to Build Digital Feminist Archive Exhibits.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/ias\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2023\/03\/AlkaAtMs-Julie-Shayne-1-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-25015\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/ias\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2023\/03\/AlkaAtMs-Julie-Shayne-1-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/ias\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2023\/03\/AlkaAtMs-Julie-Shayne-1-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/ias\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2023\/03\/AlkaAtMs-Julie-Shayne-1-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/ias\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2023\/03\/AlkaAtMs-Julie-Shayne-1-1-1536x1152.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/ias\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2023\/03\/AlkaAtMs-Julie-Shayne-1-1-1200x900.jpg 1200w, https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/ias\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2023\/03\/AlkaAtMs-Julie-Shayne-1-1-600x450.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/ias\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2023\/03\/AlkaAtMs-Julie-Shayne-1-1.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Shayne\u2019s was based on the <a href=\"https:\/\/uwb.ds.lib.uw.edu\/feministarchiveexhibits\/\">feminist archive exhibits<\/a> created by the students in her \u201cHistories and Movements of Gender and Sexuality\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/canvas.uw.edu\/courses\/1608326\/assignments\/syllabus\">(BISGWS 302)<\/a> class, offered again in winter. 足彩app哪个是正规的 panel also included colleagues from the University of Massachusetts Boston and Wellesley College and was moderated by GWSS co-coordinator <a href=\"\/ias\/faculty-and-staff\/alka-kurian\">Dr. Alka Kurian.<\/a> Dr. <a href=\"\/ias\/faculty-and-staff\/alice-pedersen\">Alice Pedersen<\/a> and Dr. Alka Kurian also presented papers on two separate panels. Dr. Pedersen\u2019s presentation was called \u201cDeep Listening: on centering silence and observation in the classroom,\u201d and Dr. Kurian\u2019s \u201cCitizenship, Belonging, Sexuality and Desire: Rise of Fourth Wave Feminism.\u201d In addition to these regular sessions Drs. Kurian and Shayne participated in the NWSA in other ways. Dr. Alka Kurian participated in the Ms. Magazine writers workshop, a program that trains academics to write for Ms. Magazine. (Drs. Shayne and <a href=\"\/ias\/faculty-and-staff\/kari-lerum\">Kari Lerum<\/a> participated in this workshop in years past.)
