When students don\u2019t do well on a test, the conclusion is often that they didn\u2019t do the work they needed to do to prepare, or that their high school didn\u2019t teach them how to take tests, or that there\u2019s someone or something to blame for their performance. Instead, we can take a more asset-based approach. Everyone enters the classroom with skills\u2014which may or may not include test-taking\u2014and equitable learning relies on that suite of skills.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the essay, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifescied.org\/doi\/epdf\/10.1187\/cbe.21-05-0130\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reframing Educational Outcomes: Moving beyond Achievement Gaps<\/a>,&#8221;
