If student-facing staff member(s) are included, up to $10K per program, to cover airfare and per diem. Up to two programs per year will be supported.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Faculty or faculty\/staff teams are invited to submit an <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/pages\/responsepage.aspx?id=W9229i_wGkSZoBYqxQYL0ifnZhSTvctAr0xRbk_NwNxUMEpIS05NUEZHVDlFT1VCMVJNSlhRQk5OTi4u&amp;route=shorturl\">online application<\/a> addressing all eligibility and selection criteria by May 15, 2026. Funding decisions are expected by mid-June. Proposed programs should be implemented in 2027 or 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants must be UW Bothell faculty or staff directly involved in developing a new global learning program (study abroad and\/or COIL) in an undergraduate curricular area currently lacking degree-focused global opportunities.\u00a0Curricular gap areas include: Business, Education &amp; Society, FYPP, Mathematics, Physical Sciences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>足彩app哪个是正规的 proposed program or course must fulfill degree requirements for participating UW Bothell students (core courses or electives for specific major(s)).&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For study abroad programs, a completed proposal should be submitted within one academic year of award. For COIL courses, the course should be implemented within one academic year of award.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Selection criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Preference will be given to proposals that align with the following criteria. It is not expected that all criteria be met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>足彩app哪个是正规的 proposed program (study abroad and\/or COIL):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connects pre-major UW Bothell students with students in their intended major at UW Bothell;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engages with local community based on reciprocal relationships with local partners, e.g. collaboration with local universities and their students, community organizations or businesses;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Involves community-engaged learning or research in alignment with undergraduate goal #6, \u201cApplication of theory and skills that contribute to the public good through mutually beneficial engagement with community\u201d;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Incorporates multiple disciplinary perspectives;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Incorporates career connections, e.g. industry visits, targeted skill development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Actively consult with or directly engage current UWB students to develop program curriculum or specific activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sustainability and longevity of connections with host community, i.e. potential for expanded collaboration in future years.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Written support from School\/Department for offering the proposed program during the proposed timeframe. 25% or greater match by home school\/ unit to support travel or other program\/course development costs, e.g. faculty stipends or summer salary for course development; stipends for student consultants; cost-sharing of faculty salary during program implementation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Recipients<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>足彩app哪个是正规的 following faculty have been selected to receive COIL\/ Study Abroad Launch Grants to develop new study abroad programs that will engage undergraduates from curricular areas that currently have limited global learning opportunities. Grant funding supports an in-person exploratory visit to the destination country to develop and successfully launch the new global program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2025<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Jong Yoon, School of STEM: Engineering &#8211; <em>Korea Engineering Experience: Innovation, Culture, and Global Collaboration, Summer 2026<\/em>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ying Yang, School of Business &#8211; <em>E-Marketing in Hong Kong, Taiwan and China, <\/em>Summer 2026 or 2027. <strong>(deferred)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Munehiro Fukuda and Jeffrey Kim, School of STEM: CSS &#8211; <em>Evolving Identities and User Design in the Age of Connectivity and AI Technologies in Modern Japan,<\/em> Early Fall 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2024<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/nhs\/people\/faculty\/leaton\">Dr. Linda Eaton<\/a>, Assistant Professor, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/nhs\/people\/faculty\/jshirley\">Dr. Jamie Shirley<\/a>, Teaching Professor, School of Nursing and Health Studies, who will develop a new study abroad program to India, Population Health in a Developing Country, in partnership with the Christian Medical College (CMC) in Vellore.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwb.edu\/stem\/faculty\/ps-faculty\/physics\/prhidalgo\">Dr. Paola Rodriguez Hidalgo<\/a>, Associate Professor of Physics, School of STEM, who will develop two global programs with partners in Spain: a COIL course, <em>BPHYS 493 Research Methods in the International Astronomical Community<\/em>, and an interdisciplinary study
