UW Bothell School of Business launches AI & the Future of Business series

UW Bothell School of Business launched the AI & the Future of Business series in Fall 2025 to examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping the way organizations operate, innovate and create value across industries. Hosted by Dean Sophie Leroy, the series brings together industry leaders, practitioners, scholars, students, alumni, and community members to engage in timely conversations at the intersection of technology and business.

“We launched the AI & the Future of Business series to create a space where business leaders, innovators, students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the broader community can come together to explore how artificial intelligence is transforming the future of work and the future of business,” Leroy said.

“As a business school, we are committed to not only understanding these Al-driven shifts, but also leading the conversation about what they mean for business, innovation and impact.”

Since its launch, the series has featured sessions focused on the retail and marketing industries, examining how AI is influencing customer engagement, personalization, decision-making and operational practices. Each session pairs real-world industry perspectives with academic insight, creating a forum that bridges theory and practice.

Building on the momentum of its first two sessions, the School plans to continue the series with conversations focused on leading responsible AI and the finance industry.

Through this series we will continue to explore how artificial intelligence is driving transformation across industries, positioning the UW Bothell School of Business as a regional hub for insight and innovation at the intersection of technology and business.
